Data We Collect

Cherishly does not collect any personal information. We have no servers, no user accounts, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. We cannot see the events you add, and no usage data is sent to us or to any third party.

Information Stored On Your Device

The following information is created and stored locally on your device so the app can work. It stays in the app's private storage and is never uploaded.

• Events you add, such as names, dates, event types, notes, and favorites.
• App preferences, such as your chosen theme, accent color, notification time, and reminder settings.
• Backup files you choose to create, which are written to a location you select on your device.

Permissions

Cherishly requests Android permissions only to power specific features, and only when needed. None of these permissions are used to send your data off the device.

• Notifications — to remind you about upcoming birthdays and events at the time you choose.
• Read contacts — optional, used only if you tap to import birthdays from your contacts. Contact data is read on demand and is not shared.
• Read calendar — optional, used only if you choose to import events from your calendar.
• Storage / file access — used only when you export or restore a backup, so files can be saved to and read from the location you pick.
• Run at startup (boot completed) — so scheduled reminders are re-registered after your device restarts.
• Alarms & reminders / exact alarm — so reminders fire reliably at the scheduled time.

How Your Information Is Used

• Show your upcoming birthdays, anniversaries, and events.
• Send local reminders and notifications you have enabled.
• Display widgets, the yearly overview, and statistics.
• Create and restore backups when you ask the app to.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. Because the app has no network access and no third-party services, there is no data to share. If you create a backup file, you are in full control of where it is stored and who you share it with.

Third-Party Services

Cherishlydoes not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or cloud services. The only external interaction is optional: importing from your device's own contacts or calendar, which stays on the device.

Data Retention And Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can remove individual events in the app, clear all data, or uninstall the app to delete everything associated with it. Any backup files you exported remain wherever you saved them until you delete them yourself.

Children's Privacy

Cherishly does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is safe to use as a simple, offline reminder tool and does not direct any data collection at children.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy if the app changes. Any updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
